WOTR (& How to Start Them)

Pathfinder: WOTR has seven romance options available. Romancing NPCs will depend on the main character’s gender and dialogue choices.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, the second game in the Pathfinder series, takes place in an area of the world controlled by demons. The game tells the story of those who are willing to oppose the demonic force and those that give in to its power. Like its predecessor, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has plenty of chances for intense combat, character building, and, most importantly, love.

The option to romance NPC characters is so popular that it has become a staple of role-playing games. Following that trend, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has included seven diverse characters for players to fall in love with. The game offers players several opportunities to develop relationships with specific characters. There are a few key decisions to consider when romancing NPCs.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous offers a variety of races and genders available to romance. Players can start an intimate relationship with a total of six companions and a special NPC. The available options will depend on the gender of the main character, so players should keep that in mind when starting out. Lann can only be romanced by female characters, while Camellia and Sosiel can only be courted by males. Wenduag, Daeran, and Arueshalae can be pursued by either gender. As a Kickstarter goal bonus, Queen Galfrey can also be romanced by both male and female characters.

Every Romance Option in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Queen Galfrey

Arueshalae, Wenduag, Queen Galfrey, and Daeran can all be romanced regardless of the Commander’s gender. The ability to romance will be included in the dialogue options. It can come up randomly when speaking to a chosen companion back at the camp or base of operations, or during a companion’s personal quest. For example, Arueshalae can be recruited either in Drezen Prison or during the “Demon’s Heresy” quest, and flirting options will occur periodically from there. For Queen Galfrey, it is recommended that players follow either the Angel or Aeon paths to have as many interactions as possible with her.

Romancing in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is fairly straightforward. However, if players are looking for a breakdown, here are all the romance options in Pathfinder: Wrath of The Righteous and their preferences:

  • Camellia: Can only be romanced by a male player character. Players can unlock more dialogue options by earning her trust.
  • Lann: This Mongrelman can only be romanced by female player characters.
  • Wenduag: This huntress can be romanced by both male and female characters.
  • Daeran: This Aasima can be romanced by both male and female player characters.
  • Sosiel: The cleric can only be romanced by a male character.
  • Arueshalae: This ranger can be romanced by both a male and female character.
  • Queen Galfrey: The Queen can be romanced by both male and female characters. Players must the Angel or Aeon path to unlock more dialogue options.

It’s worth pointing out that players will not be able to have multiple romance partners in Pathfinder: Wrath of The Righteous. After reaching Act 5, players will be required to choose one romance option. Due to this reason, players interested in exploring all romance options will have to do a separate play-through of Pathfinder: Wrath of The Righteous.

It’s necessary to recruit all companions in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, then constantly speak to the romanceable ones and choose the flirtatious dialogue options when available. Owlcat has used romance as an incentive for Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous backers on Kickstarter. Five of the seven romances were available for those who contributed and were given access to the beta version. Queen Galfrey was also added to the list of romance options as a reward for reaching a Kickstarter goal. Having a love life gives players a break from the demonic forces constantly looming over them in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and there are plenty of partners to choose from.
