What’s The Next Star Wars Show After Book Of Boba Fett?

What’s the next Star Wars TV show after The Book of Boba Fett? Here’s what we know about Star Wars’ upcoming TV show lineup on Disney+.

What’s the next Star Wars TV show releasing after The Book of Boba Fett wraps? For a time, it seemed like Star Wars would be coming to an end once Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker released, but while the Skywalker saga concluded with that ninth film, the franchise saw a new rise thanks to the overwhelming success of The Mandalorian, which launched alongside Disney+ way back in November 2019.

The Mandalorian season 2 was even bigger, and in addition to having a new animated series debut the following year, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the main series has been used to launch multiple spinoffs, the first being The Book of Boba Fett. Taking place both before and after the events of The MandalorianThe Book of Boba Fett follows the titular character as he transforms from a bounty hunter and a simple man making his way through the galaxy into the head of a gotra on Tatooine, taking over Jabba the Hutt’s criminal underworld.

However, while a lot certainly happened in The Book of Boba Fett and many characters returned and were introduced, it was merely a footprint on a long road of Star Wars shows releasing on Disney+. Soon, the next Star Wars TV show is expected to be Obi-Wan Kenobi, featuring the return of Ewan McGregor as the Jedi Master and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. Although it hasn’t been confirmed, Obi-Wan Kenobi will reportedly premiere this May, with many expecting that date to be May 4th, the official Star Wars Day. Whether that turns out to be true remains to be seen.

Following on Obi-Wan Kenobi is Andor, a prequel series to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that focuses on the Rebel Cassian Andor, who died at the end of the aforementioned film alongside Jyn Erso. Other TV shows in development are Ahsoka Tano, The Acolyte, Lando, and more, including a second season for The Bad Batch. But other than Obi-Wan Kenobi, perhaps the most exciting series is Ahsoka Tano, which not only sees the former Jedi back in the fold and in a leading role, but also the live-action debut of Sabine Wren. The show is believed to be a sequel series to Star Wars Rebels that will also introduce Grand Admiral Thrawn, though that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

For now, Obi-Wan Kenobi is the next Star Wars TV show that is expected to premiere after The Book of Boba Fett, and if nothing changes from tradition, The Mandalorian season 3 should release later this year. However, with Mando appearing in The Book of Boba Fett and Pedro Pascal starring in a number of high profile projects, it’s possible season 3 won’t come for some time.
