“No wonder BlueSG cars sometimes smell bad.” — Netizens aggravated at irresponsible pet owner who put dog inside BlueSG car-sharing service vehicle

Alop Daimyo, a member of the Facebook group Complaint Singapore, posted a man he caught on camera putting his dog inside a BlueSG car-sharing service vehicle. He captioned his photo, “Can you really put pets in a rental car? I won’t mind if its in a cage or something but openly?”

Netizens were aggravated with the pet owner’s irresponsibility and insensitivity to the next person who’d use the car.

Others in the group expressed their annoyance at this. Several people wanted Mr Daimyo to report the person he caught on camera. Darlene Tan said “Report date, time and location of the photo taken to bluesg. Let them do the investigation and necessary cleaning.”

Some netizens even blamed pet owners as to why some of the BlueSG car rentals, for some reason, smells. Sharifah Khairia Al Shahab said in her comment, “No wonder BlueSG cars sometimes smell bad.”

One of the netizen, Ke So Wan Frits offered a different insight, his comment said, “Next time I film you breaking the rules can ???… And did you get consent taking his.pix ? …. means you ALSO BROKE THE RULES !!!”

While some netizens referred to some pet owners as inconsiderate, selfish, and brainless, one netizen, Chua Tean Lock believed that it is the car rental company’s responsibility to keep their vehicles clean.

BlueSG stated on its website that pets are strictly not allowed in their vehicles. If a car rental is required for your furry friends, Shariot would be a better alternative as they do all pets in their car rental services.

However, Shariot reminded users on their website, “Should you transport your pet, please be considerate of the next user that might be allergic to pet fur and clean up after.” /TISG
